About
Us
The founding directors of ObituariesOnTheNet.com originally developed
the idea of a single, central obituary resource on the Internet
because they perceived a real need in our increasingly "global
village" to move forward from locally published newspaper obituaries.
The costs of publishing a newspaper obituary are increasing while
the audience for the information is becoming more and more difficult
to reach. There is a growing need to move forward from a mere obituary
to a capsule biography to properly respect , commemorate and indeed
celebrate the life of a loved one.
An Internet obituary is perfectly suited to solve these problems
with utmost dignity and modest cost.
For obituaries to be accessible it is not enough that there be
publication on the Internet. Publication must be on a single, central
web site easily accessible, readily available, and known to all.
